Shooting Schedule
Here is the shooting schedule for filming the horror film:
First Shooting: The Student
Location: Knights Templar School, 6th form block corridor.
Actors: Alex McNally.
Cameraman: Alex Harris.
Time: 2/12/2016 between 3:20 pm and 5:00 pm
Props: Newspaper, bin.
Costume: Standard student suit with scarf.
Equipment: Video camera.
The filming will place inside, so the natural lighting and weather will not matter much as long as it isn't too loud. This is where the student (McNally) picks up the newspaper, bins it, and can't exit the locked door.
While we will be indoors, the low outside lighting may help with the story, as it tells the audience that the student was late leaving (or attempting to leave) the school. If the setting needs to be darker, then editing can make it so. The timing will also make sure that there will be few people around to accidentally interfere with the filming, as after school hours will be finished.
Filming on a Friday will give us time during the week to prepare the props and equipment.
We decided to film in the corridor because it is a convenient place to go after school, and the long, silent hallways helped emphasise that the student is alone in the building (which is important, considering that he gets locked in and he's the only one on the killers list.)
Second Shooting: Outside the killers hideout
Location: Outside McNallys house.
Actors: None.
Cameraman: Alex McNally.
Time: 3-4/12/2016 between 3:20 pm and 5:00 pm.
Props: Shed.
Costume: None.
Equipment: Camera.
I (Alex Harris) won't be involved with this filming, as it will take place at Alex McNallys house.
For this scene, it will be ideal if McNally films the scene at the same time of day as the first shooting, but it isn't vital, because in the first shooting, the only signs of time are shown through the windows, and the two scenes don't necessarily have to take place at the exact same time. The filming will mostly compose of panning across a natural setting and then zooming into the window of a shed.
While this will make a very short part of the film, it will help introduce the location where the killer is hiding.
Third Shooting: Inside the killers hideout
Location: Inside Harris's house.
Actors: Alex Harris.
Cameraman: Michael Harris.
Time 4-5/12/2016 between 7:00 pm and 9:00
Props: Wooden knife, dark coloured circle, whiteboard, whiteboard pictures.
Costume: White mask. hooded coat.
Equipment: Camera, red marker.
For this shooting, McNally won't be involved. Instead, my brother will help with the filming (and he has already provided some creative input)
